You'll find a few recipes linking into this recipe, as it's a really useful sauce to have in the fridge. Whether it's a ketchup, or a pizza sauce. It should keep for at least a week in the fridge (or more - it keeps getting eaten before I've had a chance to test its use by date!)

For the whole recipe:

Tips & equipment list:
Hand blender or Bullet
A non stick saucepan
This does freeze - you could always freeze it in an ice cube tray

Ingredients
400g Tinned tomatoes
60g Tomato puree
40g Shallot - roughly chopped
20g Olive oil
3/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Freshly ground pepper
1 1/2 tsps Paprika
1 tsp Dried oregano
3/4 tsp Garlic
A little Sweetener - 1 tsp Truvia / Natvia / Pure Via Sweetener
Directions
Put all your sauce ingredients into a bullet, or use a hand blender & blitz until smooth
Heat up until bubbling and simmer for about 10 minutes, to reduce the sauce
Extra season or sweetener to taste
This can be stored in the fridge for at least week, in a sealed container
