Bacon Cheeseburger Pie
500g Minced Beef (approx. 15% fat)
4 Rashers Smoked Bacon
120g Soured Cream
20g Lard / Olive Oil
6 Large Eggs
100g Mature Cheddar Cheese
1/2 tsp Onion or Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Mixed Herbs
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Cut the bacon into pieces.
In a non-stick frying pan, fry the bacon and beef mince together until all the beef mince has browned.
Add the seasonings to the pan.
Transfer the cooked meat into an oven-proof dish.
In a bowl, mix the eggs with the soured cream. Pour over the top of the meat and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the mix is firm on top.
