The linseed bread was one of the first recipes to make it into our recipe library when it launched back in 2019. We've been adapting the recipe ever since, finding new and creative bread ideas whilst sticking to a few basic ingredients. This 'Family Naan' bread recipe is a fantastic tear-and-share side dish for a family buffet. The yeast helps with the rise and overall taste of this bread, but we have fried this in a good non-stick pan before without needing the yeast. So... get experimenting!

Ingredients
-
80g Milled Linseed
-
2 Large Eggs
-
60ml Warm Water
-
1 tsp Baking Powder
-
1/4 tsp Fast Acting Dried Yeast
-
1/2 tsp Salt
-
1 Garlic Clove, finely chopped (you could replace this with 5g Garlic Puree)
-
1/2 (approx. 5g) Green Chilli, finely chopped
-
10g Fresh Coriander, finely chopped
Directions
Preheat the oven to 210°C
Mix the linseed with the baking powder, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
Add the eggs and mix to a thick paste.
Add the water - mix half boiling and half cold to achieve the correct temperature.
Add the chopped garlic, chilli, and coriander to the dough and mix again. This dough will thicken as the linseeds absorb the water.
Using wet hands, push the dough out into a 12" baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
Bake for 15 minutes until the bread starts to turn golden brown. Then remove from the oven, turn the bread over, peel the greaseproof paper off, and bake for 5-10 minutes until golden brown on the other side.
