Makes 16 brownies
Original brownies contain:
136 Calories / 1.8g Carbs / 3g Protein / 12.6g Fat
Nut free brownies contain:
119 Calories / 2.2g Carbs / 2.8g Protein / 10.5g Fat
100g 85% Dark Chocolate
80g Unsalted Butter
60g Double Cream
3 Large Eggs (for nut free brownies, increase this to 4 eggs)
70g Ground Almonds (for nut free, swap the ground almonds for 25g Coconut Flour)
30g Truvia / Natvia / Pure Via Sweetener
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
20g Cocoa Powder
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave or over a pot of boiling water (make sure no water gets into the chocolate).
Add the cream to the melted chocolate / butter and stir. This will cool the mix down.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
Line an 8" square tray with greaseproof baking paper and pour the mix in. Evenly spread it in the tin.
Bake for around 15 minutes. the top should be just firm to touch - if you bake them for less time, you'll have super gooey brownies :D
Allow to cool a little and then cut into squares.
