Turkey Steaks with a Parmesan Crust
This is a simple but flavoursome dish, perfect when paired with low carb veggies.
Makes 2 portions - each portion contains:
280 Calories / 1g Carbs / 37g Protein / 14g Fat
240g Turkey Steaks
25g Ground Almonds or Milled Linseed
25g Grated Parmesan
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Pink Himalayan / Rock / Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Dried Parsley
Beat the eggs in a tray / bowl large enough to lay the turkey steaks in.
Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.
Dip the turkey into the egg on both sides (use forks rather than hands - you'll find it a much cleaner process).
Allow any egg to drip off the turkey and add to the bowl with the dry ingredients.
Carefully shake the bowl and rotate the steak to cover both sides.
Pan fry the steaks in a good non-stick pan over a medium heat for 10-12 minutes, turning 2 or 3 times to ensure the coating goes crispy. Alternatively, place the steaks on the lower wire rack of your air fryer / Ninja Foodi and bake at 200°C for 10-12 minutes.
Serve with fresh green salad or a selection of fresh vegetables.
