Ingredients
-
170g Ground Almonds or Milled Sunflower Seeds
-
15g Coconut Flour
-
20g Unflavoured Whey Protein Powder OR Egg White Protein (or an extra 30g ground almonds)
-
1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum
-
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
-
Pinch of Salt
-
Pinch of Garlic Powder
-
Pinch of Onion Powder
-
2 Large Eggs
-
15g Coconut Oil, melted (we use cooking coconut oil which has no taste or smell)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl and whisk together.
Once combined, add the eggs and melted coconut oil.
Use a spatula to mix together until a dough ball forms.
Once the dough forms a smooth ball, place between two sheets of greaseproof baking paper and roll out. Greaseproof is better than silicon as it stuck to the silicon when I tried.
Roll out to approx 14” disk. Fold edges up to form a crust. Pizza will be about 12” diameter once this is done.
Bake for approx 3-5 minutes, until lightly browned.
Switch the oven over to grill on full.
Add pizza sauce (we recommend Sandie's Ketchup!) and toppings of your choice.
Place pizza under the hot grill and cook until cheese has melted well.
