We're expecting 38-40 degree heat over the next couple of days. And the last thing we'll want to do is cook! So, here are some ideas to quickly prep in advance for quick, cool meals.
Drinks
- Electrolytes are essential, and even more so when it's hotter. Click here for our homemade electrolyte drink recipe.
- We wouldn't recommend making the Berry & Almond Smoothie or Chocolate & Peanut Butter Mikshake in advance, but they take just seconds to whizz together. Add some ice too and you've got yourself a slushie!
Mains
These are quick to prep and store in the fridge for around 3 days. They're perfect to eat cold and have a good amount of protein whilst not feeling too heavy.
- Chicken Fritters
- Scotch Eggs
- Burgers
- Tuna & Egg Bake (like a crustless quiche)
- Coronation Chicken
- Edamame Falafel
- Quiche
- Turkey-slaw
Or, cook your protein of choice (we've cooked some chicken breast pieces & burgers) and simply serve with a side like these listed below.
